Ecto 1

Update! Now includes Afterlife version.

Hey guys. After watching several YouTube videos, spending at least 12 hours on GB Fans Ecto forum and rewatching the film, I’ve managed to 3D model Ecto 1.

So what’s she got?
I wanted to get this as accurate as possible so I hit the forums and researched every single component from the roof rack, right down to the correct wheel rims. I learnt a ton about how the real one was built and met a lot of Ecto builders along the way, great guys. Special thanks to Darren M. LeBeau who shared photos of his Caddy 🙂
So let’s break this down by components. Starting with the roof rack, I modelled from blueprints the following…

1 x T.U Antenna (Sniffer),

1 x 5 panel Panoramic Rear View Mirror
Things I still need to add when more reference shows up.
:Detail to the workstation (Sono Channel units etc)
:Some more greeblies and gadgets on the dash.
Overall I spent over 60 hours making this, that includes all geometry and drawing up the textures. Covid really knocked me for six so I had to take a break from the build before I published, hence the delay. I tried to get her as accurate as possible but of course there is room for improvement, so I welcome constructive criticism.
Enjoy 😉 🚫👻🚐
